The Team
Gaylon Gregory -- President
After many years in machine shop sales, Gaylon, an avid sailor, decided to change his life direction. In 1998 he purchased Southern Skimmer from Eastern Fiiberglass with an eye on making "the best shallow water skiff for the money on the market."
Clark Jenkins -- General Manager
After spending his post-college years at Jarrett Bay Boatworks and Southeast Yachts, Clark, a boat junkie, joined Southern Skimmer in 2001. He brings an extensive knowledge of the marine industry to Southern Skimmer.
Gene Odell -- Lamination Shop Manager
Gene spent many years in the printing business in New York City. On vacation in Atlantic Beach, he and his wife fell and love with the area and immediately moved here. After spending a number of years at Jarrett Bay Boatworks, Gene joined us in 2002.
Carolyn Dennis -- Treasurer
After spending many years as the financial force behind GTE, Carolyn moved to Morehead to head the accounting department of Southern Skimmer.
Employees
We also have eight employees who have been with us for over four years. They are the heart of Southern Skimmer and without them, we would not be where we are today.
